Dialysis Caregivers Options Available

If you're unable to have someone train to give you dialysis, caregiver options are now available. Spectrum Dialysis is the first company to offer this service.

Flexible Scheduling

Treat in the morning, evening, or overnight — whatever fits your work, family, and life, instead of a fixed clinic slot.

Comfort of Home

No waiting rooms, no travel time, no shared treatment floor, reduced risk of infection. Recover in your own space, surrounded by family.

Better Clinical Outcomes

More frequent, gentler sessions are linked to better blood pressure control, fewer hospitalizations, and improved quality of life.

Frequently asked questions

Am I a candidate for home hemodialysis?
Most patients on hemodialysis can be considered for home treatment. Your nephrologist and our clinical team will evaluate your health status, home environment, and support system together.
Do I need a care partner to do home dialysis?
A care partner is recommended for most patients, especially early on, but some patients are trained to treat independently. In an industry first, Spectrum Dialysis can also help with acquiring a Dialysis Caregiver. We'll discuss what's right for your situation during evaluation.
How long does training take?
Training is fully personalized and typically takes a few weeks, with sessions scheduled around your availability. You won't move to independent treatment until you and your nurse both feel ready.
What happens if something goes wrong during a home treatment?
Our 24/7 clinical support line is staffed by trained dialysis professionals who can walk you through any issue in real time, and coordinate emergency care if needed.
How do supplies get to my home?
Your care team sets up a recurring delivery schedule based on your treatment plan, so dialyzers, concentrate, and other supplies arrive before you need them.
What insurance do you accept?
We're contracted with most major California health plans. If your plan isn't listed below, we can typically request a Letter of Agreement (LOA) so you can still be treated with us — see the coverage panel below.
